Kapamilya actress Kris Aquino confirmed on Wednesday, that Boy Abunda was rushed and confined to a hospital due to high fever. The confirmation was made by Kris Aquino on her morning show “Kris TV.” For the past few days, Boy Abunda has been absent from “The Buzz” and “Aquino and Abunda Tonight.”
According to Kris Aquino, the 58-year-old Boy Abunda had to be confined last Friday when his temperature reached 41 degrees Celcius. Kris Aquino was quoted as saying “Nasa hospital pa din si Boy Abunda. Get well soon, Boy. I love you, I miss you so much,” Aquino said on “Kris TV”
Kris Aquino added further that Boy Abunda got some problem with his voice. She was quoted as saying “Tapos hanggang ngayon wala pa ding boses. Tapos may mga tests pang ginagawa. Pero ngayon wala ng fever, okay na siya but he had a lot of tests,” she added.
The “King of Talk” Boy Abunda whose real name is Eugenio Romerica Abunda, Jr., also underwent a CT scan in a hospital where he was admitted. The TV host, publicist, and talent manager underwent the said test because the last time Boy Abunda have undergone such test was way back 16 years ago.
Boy Abunda is considered as one of the icons of the broadcasting industry in the country. He currently co-hosts with Kris Aquino on their nightly show “Aquino and Abunda Tonight,” which airs weeknights after “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon.”
