Lorma College Releases Initial Statement Regarding Student Who Has Been Prohibited to March on Stage During Graduation
Lorma College has already released an initial statement regarding the issue of student who was prohibited to march on stage during graduation.
Last week, the heartbreaking photos of a student named John Marcelino Rosald after he was not allowed to march on stage during graduation due to unprocessed fees goes viral after it was posted online.
Marcelino’s sister Celene Rosaldo said that the school personnel reportedly pulled out her brother from the lineup and refrain him from receiving his diploma during the commencement rites.
The graduand’s mom even bursts into tears due to the incident. The latter just took a selfie together with his family after the event. Rosaldo captioned his post with: “Di naman masaket, bawi na lang next life.”
Recently, Lorma schools released an initial statement regarding the incident. The school expressed its sadness regarding the incident and sympathized with the graduand’s family.
Here is the full statement:
“We are deeply concerned and saddened by what transpired during the recent graduation ceremony of Lorma Colleges involving one of our students. We sympathize with the family and are currently trying to get in touch with him or/or the family to discuss and investigate what exactly happened and to ensure this type of incident does not happen again. Lorma Colleges continues to be committed to the education of the present generation and future generation students to come.”
The LORMA Colleges President Dr. Carol Lynn R. Macagba said that the school will release an official statement regarding the issue sooner or later.
