MMDA to Deploy 2,000 Personnel For Inauguration of Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will deploy over 2,000 personnel for the inauguration of BBM.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines implementing the planning, monitoring and coordinative functions along the road concerning purely local matters.

The agency covers the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros.

On Saturday (June 25, 2022), MMDA chairman Romando Artes reported that the agency will deploy over 2,000 personnel for the inauguration of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on June 30, 2022.

Artes said that the personnel assigned for BBM’s inauguration at the National Museum grounds will come from MMDA’s Traffic Discipline Office, the Metro Public Safety Office, and the Sidewalk Clearing Operations Group for traffic management, clearing operations, and emergency response.

National Capital Region Police Office announced that a total of 15,000 personnel will be deployed during the event. Several roads will be closed and rerouting plans will be implemented during the event.

The incoming lawmakers, cabinet members, diplomats, members of the Judiciary, international and local media, and other guests are expected to attend BBM’s inauguration next week.
