The Kapamilya Channel dominated the list of the Top 10 most Watched Shows in the Philippines for the month of May, 2014, based upon the latest results published by independent market research firm in the Philippines specializing in broadcast media.
The research firm, Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
According to the Kantar Media survey, the country’s most popular singing competition “The Voice Kids” dominated the top spot in terms of nationwide ratings. The recently lunched singing competition garnered an average nationwide ratings of 34.1%.
Ranking among the Top 5 shows for the month of May is a mix of ABS-CBN’s weekend and primetime shows such as “Dyesebel” with 30.5% ratings, “Ikaw Lamang” (30.5%), “Maalaala Mo Kaya” with 28.6%, and “Wansapanataym” with 26.3%.

6. “The Legal Wife” = 26%
7. “TV Patrol” = 25.6%
8. “Rated K” = 22.3%
9. “Mirabella” = 20%
10. “Bet On Your Baby” and “Home Sweetie Home” = tied with 19.5%
According to Kantar Media, the primetime programs of ABS-CBN also dominated the 6:00-12:00 midnight viewing habits of the Filipinos, this particular time draws more advertisement according to research.
The Kapamilya Chanel’s Primetime Bida got an average audience share of 51%, while its rival network, GMA-7 and TV5 only got 30% and 9% respectively. In terms of total viewership, Kantar Media clarified that ABS-CBN leads the total day viewership across the country with 44% for the month of May, while GMA-7 has 33% and TV5 got 11%.
