Oil Companies To Implement Second Straight Week of Pump Price Rollback
Several oil companies in the country were set to impose another pump price rollback for two straight weeks.
Nowadays, fuel prices play a very important role to the country’s economy. Pump price adjustment usually causes significant impact on prices of products and services in the country.
The consecutive oil price hike during the past few months contribute to the daily burden of Filipino people especially to those who were in public transport sector. Price rollbacks can somehow ease the struggles of Filipino drivers.
The gasoline stations in the country were set to reduce the prices of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel and kerosene. The expected price cut will make the second consecutive weeks of rollback.
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. announced to reduce P1.00 per liter of gasoline, P0.34 per liter of diesel and P3.00 per liter of kerosene. Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will impose similar price adjustments except for kerosene which they do not carry.
All companies are set to implement the price adjustments at 6:00 am on Tuesday (April 12, 2022) except for Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz, which will impose the changes at 8:01.
Meanwhile, other oil companies will make similar announcements for the week.
The Department of Energy (DOE) has released the latest data available showing the year-to-date adjustments. The data shows a total net increase of P16.00 per liter of gasoline, P26.00 per liter of diesel, and P24.10 per liter of kerosene as of April 5, 2022.
