Manny Pacquiao Appeals to BBM to Attend Next Debate for His Supporters
Presidential candidate and Senator Manny Pacquiao urged Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr (BBM) to attend next debate for the sake of his supporters.
On the next presidential debate, the Senator demanded that he meet his presidential competitor, former Senator Marcos. Pacquiao stated in an interview that he hopes BBM would consider his followers who are supposedly ashamed when he does not attend discussions.

According to Pacquiao, his fans want to talk about his ideas if he is chosen by the people. When BBM does not attend the discussion, according to Pacquiao, he is chastised on social media as well as by his followers.
“Sana mag-attend siya (BBM) dahil para hindi mapahiya ang mga supporters niya. Syempre, kakantyawan ‘yung mga supporters niya, mag-attend siya,” said Pacquiao.
“Sagutin lang naman ang mga tanong, wala namang problema dun ‘pag may tinanong ka, sagutin mo naman. That’s what is needed there, so that his supporters will not be embarrassed,” he added.
Marcos Jr.’s campaign also stated that he is undecided if he will attend the Comelec presidential debate on March 19. They made it clear that the aspirant’s absence would be contingent on his or her itinerary for that day.
Meanwhile, vice presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has said she would not attend the Commission on Elections-sponsored debate (Comelec). Mayor Christina Frasco, her spokesman, provided no reason. Despite a previous declaration from the poll board, she confirmed that Duterte did not get any formal invitation to attend the debate scheduled for March 20.
