Monique Manuel, another Miss Philippines Earth candidate was involved in an accident but this time she didn’t “passed away”, instead, she slipped onstage during the pageant’s long gown conpetition on Wednesday night, May 7, 2014 held in Alabang.
According to the report of ABS-CBN News, Monique Manuel who is representing Dinalupihan, Bulacan was about to credit the designer of her gown when she accidentally tripped and fell off from stage.
“Kung nadapa, it’s better you pick yourself up …hindi lang sa long gown (competition), kahit sa buhay. It’s about rising every time you fall,” Monique Manuel relates.
Meanwhile, Leslie Ann Pine, one of the candidate in the prestigious competition collapsed during the pageant’s bikini competition held at Solaire Resort & Casino last April 30, 2014.
The incident has went viral online which became the most talked about topic on micro-blogging site, Twitter after Leslie Ann Pine fellow-contestant, Pircelyn Pialago narrated the incident and told the reporters that she “passed away” instead of “passed out.”

Leslie Ann Pine, who is representing San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija had been “depriving herself” for food after she was being put under “weight watch” was immediately rushed in a nearby hospital in Ortigas where she has been diagnosed with “electrolyte imbalance.” The Filipino-American contestant was discharged from the hospital on Thursday morning, May 1, 2014.
Miss Philippines Earth 2014 coronation night will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 11, 2014. The awarding ceremony will be telecast live on ABS-CBN.
