Ka Leody de Guzman Slams Duterte After Refusing to Apologized to Drug War Victims
Presidential aspirant Ka Leody de Guzman slams President Rodrigo Duterte after he refuses to apologize to the drug war victims.
The President was chastised by the Labor Leader for displaying no sorrow for the thousands of persons slain during his administration’s anti-drug campaign or drug war. After Duterte maintained during his weekly briefing that he would never apologize for the killings suffered by his drug war, Ka Leody made this statement.

Duterte was chosen as president, according to Ka Leody, because of concerns of corruption and illicit narcotics. This is also why, despite having plainly failed to exterminate these two pests, he couldn’t let them go, he added.
However, according to De Guzman, Duterte’s legacy to the next generation of Filipinos is simply greater corruption and drug issues. Duterte’s decision, according to the labor leader, was a ruse to avoid appearing as a “lame duck” president.
De Guzman, who is running to succeed Duterte in the 2022 elections, claims that Duterte would never accept his administration’s failures. He claims that under Duterte’s watch, the drug crisis and corruption would intensify, and that the people will inherit this.
Since Duterte took office in June 2016, more than 6,200 drug suspects have perished in anti-narcotics sting operations, according to official data. Many human rights organizations, on the other hand, say that the true death toll might range from 12,000 to 30,000.
