Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shiver File Documents to Finalize Divorce
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shiver have come into an agreement and the former couple is now officially divorced.
One of the most popular celebrities in Hollywood is Arnold Shwarzenegger. The Austrian-American actor has also made a mark in several other fields as a body builder, a film producer, a businessman, and a former politician. He has lived a huge part of his life before the public’s eye.
Schwarzenegger is a former Republican governor of California. He served for several years until he reached his term limit and he left politics to go back to the acting field. He is known for several tag names including “Austrian Oak”, “Arnie”, “Schwarzy”, and “The Governator”.
In 1986, Arnold Schwarzenegger officially tied the knot with US journalist Maria Shiver, the niece of US former President John F. Kennedy. Their marriage was blessed with four (4) children.
As a businessman, in 1992, Arnold, together with his then-wife Maria, opened a restaurant business in Santa Monica. They named it “Schatzi on Main” which means “little treasure”. However, in 1998, the actor sold his restaurant.
However, the marriage of Arnold and Maria lasted for 35 years and led to separation. The Hollywood actor admitted that, in 1997, he fathered a child of their housemaid.
In 2011, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shiver filed for divorce. It was more than ten (10) years ago now since the proceedings began and, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the former couple has finally come into an agreement.
Certain Court documents showing that Arnold and Maria had a final settlement over their separation were recently filed finalizing their divorce. The move ended the 35 years of marriage of the former couple. Meanwhile, with regards to the terms of the settlement, the former couple has kept the details private.
