Sari Yap, the godmother of model Helena Belmonte who committed suicide on Thursday, March 20, 2014 revealed that the victim has suffered from mental illness called “bipolar disorder.”
According to the godmother of Helena Belmonte, she suffered from bipolar disorder since she was seven years old. Sari Yap is the founder of One Mega Group and Editor-in-Chief of Mega Magazine.
Sari Yap added that Helena Belmonte may have mixed the alcohol and her anti-depressant medicine on the night she allegedly fell off from Ortigas building.
Based on the statement released by her boyfriend identified as Marcel Crespo and some of her friends, they had gone to a party before they headed to her condo unit at Renaissance Tower 1000 on Meralco Avenue, Ortigas Center in Pasig City on Thursday.

“Nilalagay niya sa Instagram na depressed siya. Ang mali doon, dapat hindi niya pinagsasama ang anti-depressant sa alak,” Sari Yap said in an interview with ABS-CBNnews.
Joan Lorraine Belmonte, founding creative director of One Mega Group., and the mother of Helena Belmonte has yet to issue any statement regarding the incident.
One Mega Group Incorporated is the publishing company which publishes popular magazines including Mega, Lifestyle, Asia, Travel and Meg Magazine.
Meanwhile, some of the popular Filipino celebrities have expressed their condolences for the late-model Helena Belmonte. Antoinette Taus, Divine Lee and football player James Younghusband are among the celebrities who mourned over the death of Helena Belmonte.
