Land Ownership Dispute in Camsur Turned Into Massacre with 5 Deaths, 1 Critical
Five (5) family members in Camarines Sur (CamSur) were killed while one is critical in hospital after the land ownership dispute turned into a massacre.
Five persons were slain, including three youngsters, and one was reported to be in serious condition, according to the police report, after one of their relatives allegedly shot them. A land dispute between relatives in Milaor, Camarines Sur, is said to have devolved into a slaughter.

Romeo de Leon, 72; Samuel Cobilla Jr.; Noela Agliones, 7; and siblings Hobbie John, 6; and Robbie John Britanico, 4 were recognized by Maj. Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson for Police Regional Office 5 (PRO-5). Due to a bullet wound, Hades John Britanico is in critical condition.
Arthur de Leon, the suspect who escaped following the event, is still being pursued by police. The victims were watching television when a suspect dressed in camouflage entered their home in Barangay Tarusanan and shot them with an M16 Armalite rifle about 5:45 p.m., according to authorities.
Calubaquib revealed that the victims were the suspect’s relatives who were simply enraged over a land dispute. According to a statement from one of the victims’ relatives, the suspect’s brother allegedly killed one of the victims’ brothers in the 2020 massacre.
“Sa lupa pare, kamag-anak din ng hipag ko. Nagtanim ng sama ng loob ‘yung suspect dahil away sa lupa. Una, pinatay kapatid ng hipag ko in a close range sa ulo ang tama. Year 2020 pa ‘yun, ngayon bumalik gusto talaga silang ubusin,” he explained.
