Man in Aklan Accidentally Swallowed Dentures while Eating Batchoy

A man in Aklan will undergo surgery after he allegedly swallowed the dentures he was wearing while he was eating batchoy or noodle soup.

After swallowing his dentures while eating batchoy, a guy in Numancia, Aklan province, is now being monitored at the hospital. Berto, a 24-year-old inhabitant of Barangay Pusiw in the same town, was the victim.

Berto is currently being evaluated at the Aklan Provincial Hospital and may need throat surgery, according to the article. The incident occurred at 12 p.m., as the victim was eating batchoy, when his denture came loose and he swallowed it.

The victim was immediately taken to the said hospital where he is being observed due to difficulty breathing and speaking due to the denture in his throat. To remove the blockage of the denture in the throat, it is possible to operate on the victim, according to the doctors here in case it does not continue in his stomach.

Previously, a man from Puerto Princesa, Palawan, swallowed his dentures by accident. He claimed that he has worn his dentures for two decades and that he no longer sleeps with them in.

But one morning, he awoke up and swallowed his denture by accident. He was rushed to the hospital, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he had to wait two days before being x-rayed.

The dentures looked to be in the esophagus or throat on x-rays. After the dentures he swallowed was properly removed, he was able to smile once more.
