Here’s what Erap Estrada taught Jake Ejercito about showbiz
Kapamilya actor Jake Ejercito shared the “old school” showbiz advice that his dad former actor Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada gave to him.
It is the first time that Jake is doing a teleserye. He is one of the cast members of the rom-com series Marry Me, Marry You that features the tandem of Janine Gutierrez and Paolo Avelino.
Based on the article in Inquirer Lifestyle, Jake is happy to work with a wonderful cast. He said that everyone on the set, from the director to everyone behind the camera, has become a source of inspiration.
The actor admitted that as it is his first time, being nervous is inevitable. When asked about the advice that his father gave to him, Jake Ejercito said that it was old school since the former President was active in showbiz during the 1960s and 1970s.
“Sasabihin niya, ‘Kaibiganin mo ‘yung mga cameraman para maganda ‘yung mga anggulo mo or sikuhin mo ‘yung leading man para medyo umangat ka nang konti, mga gano’n, very old school,” the actor related.
Jake is playing the character of Cedric Banez in the series. He is the best friend of the character of Paulo Avelino. When asked if his role is antagonist, Jake said that he did not want to give too much but hinted that his and Paulo’s characters were best friends for a long time and he is also working for him. However, a test of friendship will surface when the character of Janine will enter the lives of their characters.
Meanwhile, Jake Ejercito also shared the advice that Sunshine Dizon and Cherry Pie Picache gave her. The two seasoned actresses told him that he should be real and true to his character.
