Joey Marquez talked about his children
Veteran actor Joey Marquez shared how he is as a father to his 16 children and how proud he is of what they have achieved.
Joey shared his story in the recent episode of GMA’s Tunay Na Buhay. In the said episode, based on the article in Bandera, the actor said that he also came from a broken family.
However, he stressed that he never considered his siblings as half-sister or half-brother. “Sabi ko, wala naman silang kasalanan, e. Kapatid ko pa rin ‘yan kahit ano’ng mangyari. Very close ako sa lahat ng kapatid ko,” he said.
Joey Marquez said that this is also the relationship that his children have and he is thankful that they are close to each other. “Alam mo very protective sila sa isa’t isa. Kapag ‘yung isa naapi, guguyurin nu’ng isa. Parang ganu’n sila,” the actor said.
Being a father, the actor said that he is also proud of his children’s achievements. For him, providing for the education of his children is the greatest gift he could give to them.
“One day you’ll be a parent. You’ll understand me why I’m like this. And why I’m always on guard in terms of your education. That’s the only thing I can promise you for a better life,’ sabi ko sa kanila,” he explained.
Having 16 children, Joey Marquez showed that he remembered their names. He was challenged to enumerate the names of his children in chronological order.
Joey got it correct as he mentioned their names correctly based on order of birth: JJ, Jeremy, Jesm, Kristine, Jerica, Jerico, Paolo, Jowee Ann, Yeoj, Winwyn, Zia, Vitto, MM, Jazalla, Jacob, and Joeygy.
