Park Seo Joon will be part of “Captain Marvel 2“
Itaewon Class lead actor Park Seo Joon reportedly will join the cast of Brie Larson’s movie Captain Marvel 2.
Korean news sites have reported that Seo Joon will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, based on the article in preview.ph.
Sources from the camp of the Hallyu star stated that he already finished reviewing the offer. After this, he went to the shooting location and is now set to join Captain Marvel 2 or The Marvels, the much-awaited sequel of the MCU movie featuring Brie Larson.
Reports also said that the Korean star is set to fly to the United States by the latter half of 2021 to start shooting for his scenes.
However, when Seo Joon’s entertainment agency Awesome ENT was asked about these reports, it has remained silent. It was said the agency is only responding “no comment” to questions about this MCU project.
Based on the article, the Korean actor will join Brie along with Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani, if the reports are confirmed. This will give him also the opportunity to work with Director Nia DaCosta, the first black female to direct a movie under MCU and the youngest to have this honor.
If this is confirmed, Park Seo Joon will be the second Korean actor to star in the MCU film, next to Ma Dong Seok who is part of The Eternals that will be released this November.
Although the reports are not yet confirmed as of this writing, one thing is already confirmed and it is the new thriller of Park Seo Joon. He is currently filming the movie Concrete Utopia that also features Lee Byung Hun, Park Bo Young, and Park Ji Hoo.
