Family Present Fake COVID-19 Test Results Put Under Strict Quarantine

After presenting fake COVID-19 test results to travel going to Iloilo, authorities put the family from Cebu under strict home quarantine.

On their way back to Iloilo from Cebu, four members of a family and their driver were discovered to be in possession of fake RT-PCR test results for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The Iloilo authorities are already looking into how and where the family got a fake RT-PCR test result, according to the article. The family, who came from Tabuelan, Cebu, will allegedly return to Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, during the initial investigation.

The family also arrived at Iloilo’s Estancia Port on April 24, according to the GMA News article. The RT-PCR test result they presented to the authorities was discovered to be a forgery on April 26. The case is still being investigated.

Meanwhile, authorities detained 15 Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) passengers after they presented fake COVID-19 test results. At the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the PNP-Aviation Security Group detained 15 passengers who presented fake reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Debold Sinas warned again the public who will be caught using fake swab test results for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and presenting other fake medical documents in transit.
