Among the finest actors of her generation is Julia Montes. Despite her prominence and success, people saw how she remained grounded and humble. With such humility, many people learned to love and admire her for it aside from her talent.
And just recently, with the vlog being a trend now to celebrities, she appeared in one of the videos of her very good friend, Dimples Romana, and that’s where the viewers got to see the other side of her as the person and not an actress. In their conversation, it has been revealed that she grew up with her grandmother and at a young age, she became their family’s breadwinner.
She has nothing against it for she learned a lot of things most especially in valuing money. The actress grew up with the lesson that if she won’t do this, they will have nothing and it was her grandmother who instilled this in her. Growing up, she realized how your hard-earned money matters.
“So, nakalakihan ko rin siya na every time na may papasok na pera, saan siya nakalaan? Hindi siya iyong basta-basta may gusto lang ako bilhin, bibilhin ko because sumuweldo naman ako, e,” she shared.
Montes even shared that a mere peso to her is important. She has this ‘Hindi ka makakabuo ng isang daan kapag walang piso’ stand in her life which makes sense. Even amid the pandemic, she learned to value more the money and opportunities that come to her because not everyone has it.
