Here are some tips and guides you must know in writing an invitation letter including the format.

INVITATION LETTER – This is how to write a good invitation letter to someone including the correct format, tips, and some guidelines.

For certain events like marriage, engagement, graduation ceremony, exhibition, annual day, and among other, the formal way to communicate with someone you would want to join is an invitation letter. It can be from an individual or an organization sent to a person or another organization.

Below are the things you must put in your letter:

  • State the address, date, and time of the event on the left side of the letter. Also mention the purpose of the event.
  • Mention the invited person in the salutation and always leave your signature at the end of the letter.
  • Write your concisely and free of errors in terms of grammar and spelling.
  • Express your warm welcome and invite as the host.
  • Address the politely. Be pleasant.
  • Use a language based on the occasion.
  • Make sure to send out your letter in good time.
  • You can always request confirmation of attendance.
  • Be brief and straight to the point.

SIGNATURE
(Under your closing, leave four single spaces between your typed full name, title, and other contact details you may want to include)
