Philstar did it again on Twitter, netizens have these reactions
The Twitter account of Philstar (The Philippine Star) is known for its fierce headlines and captions about social issue and the recent one was about the #NasaPusoKoAngPangulo.
Apparently, the said hashtag came after the Twitter trend #NasaanAngPangulo and netizens were questioning the “absence” of the Chief Executive amid typhoon Ulysses.
In line with this, President Rodrigo Duterte had his fiery tirade against the opposition during his recent speech. He even called out the attention of Vice President Leni Robredo and accused her of initiating the hashtag against him.
Supporters of the Vice President rallied behind her and fired back at the President. A recent article stated that the Presidential Communication Operations Office stated that the hashtag “Nasa Puso Ko Ang Pangulo” trended on Twitter. However, the headline of Philstar stated “kahit hindi naman”.
In another post, the news entity expressed frustration by saying “Yoko na pagod na ako.”
The Twitter account of The Philippine Star also hated the “fake news” about the Vice President as it retweeted an article from Interaksyon with this caption: “Fake news na naman? Ugh kairita!”
In another tweet about VP Leni, Philstar has a smooth blow against those who are opposing her. “Unlike others, the Office of VP @lenirobredo mobilized quick response efforts to assist those who have been affected by #UlyssesPH.
Because of these headlines and tweets of the Twitter account of Philstar, the news entity became one of the trending topics. Here are some tweets about this.
Previously, netizens also talked about the savage captions of the media company. However, it also received criticism from Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera due to its headline.
