Flood Victim Fishing Parcel in Floodwaters Earned Various Reactions

Video footage of flood victim residents fishing some parcel wash away by heavy flood caused by Typhoon Ulysses earned various reactions online.

Typhoon Ulysses recently caused massive flooding in some parts of Metro Manila due to heavy rainfall. The flooding left many residents stranded on the roof of their house while waiting for rescue.

Meanwhile, video footage where flood victims stranded on their roof can be seen waiting for things swept away by the floodwaters. They are all holding a long stick so that they can get the visible thing that they think will benefit them.

In the video, a J&T parcel was spotted floating in the floodwaters. Residents tried to hook it but an elderly man from the other side was lucky enough that the parcel came towards him.

The elderly man opened it and took out the things inside one by one. Among the items found inside the bag were clothes, eyeglass, papers, perfume, deodorant, and plastics.

Based on the contents of the bag, it does not seem to be from online shopping delivery because its contents are valuable. People’s reactions to this have been mixed.

There are those who are happy with the cheerfulness of the residents in the midst of the crisis they are facing. However, there were others who did not like it and criticized the man as he did not check if the said bag had a name to return to the owner.
