NCRPO Chief Danao Tells Rogue Cops They’re Free To Quit
NEW NCRPO CHIEF – The newly-appointed National Capital Region Police Office chief Police Brigadier General Vicente Danao made a statement regarding rogue cops.
Currently, the Duterte administration had been adamant about ridding the government of corrupt officials. As such, this echoed within the Philippine National Police.
Following his appointment as head of the PNP, Siñas welcomed Danao as his successor as NCRPO Chief. Afterward, upon accepting the title, Danao wanted to emphasize that there would be no room for corrupt cops under his reign.
According to an article from GMA, Danao said:
This has been my program since day one that I became commander at my own level. Oplan Litis means litisin ang tiwalag at scalawag na miyembro ng hanay ng ating kauplisan. I will be very strict on that
Furthermore, Danao said that he expected all members of the PNP, especially under the NCRPO, to tow the line. He then pleaded to the members of the police force help him end the use of illegal drugs.
“Kung mayroon mang paisa-isa pa sa inyo na medyo nawawalay ng landas, ngayon pa lang sinasabihan ko na kayo, the door is always open for you to leave“, he added.
Moreover, he wanted the members of the PNP to be reminded of President Duterte’s war on illegal drugs. Along with this, Danao said that he wanted more police patrolling the streets of Metro Manila to ensure the public of their safety.
“Let us flag the streets of Metro Manila with policemen in order to ensure the safety and security of our constituents”. However, he noted that it could only be done when all personnel is accounted for.
