5 PDEA Agents Discovered Conducting Fake Drug Buy-Bust Operation
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 5 agents was caught and discovered to be conducting fake illegal drugs buy-bust operation.
In a report of GMA News, the five anti-narcotic agents in Negros Oriental were found lying about the buy-bust operation. This is due to the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage from the city of Dumaguete.
According to the report, the fake buy-bust operation conducted by five PDEA agents against the five suspects who were accused of selling illegal drugs was exposed.
Based on the court record, on June 28, PDEA agents revealed that they conducted an operation on a house in barangay Looc, Dumaguete. But in the motion to quash filed by the accused, they showed the CCTV footage, where they can be seen being abducted one by one from the hotspots and probably taken home, where the buy-bust operation was allegedly carried out.

The alleged mastermind was first picked up at 12:40 p.m., followed by two other suspects around 12:53 p.m., after they parked near where the first suspect was picked up.
At around 12:56, the fourth suspect was taken not far from the area. They were all boarded in a blue vehicle, which was later found to be registered with the PDEA.
It was past 1 in the afternoon when the fifth suspect was picked up after being pulled off in his car and also put in a blue PDEA vehicle. They were all taken to the house of the alleged mastermind where the suspects allegedly had a pot session and where the buy-bust operation took place.
As of now, such PDEA agents are still in “floating status”. Judge Amelia Mendoza said that the court shall not shirk to protect the rights of the accused individuals and assures that individuals liberties will be never sacrificed on account of the efficacy of the war on drugs.
She added that “The court must step in and take the cudgels for the individual liberties and in no other situation is this duty more critical and necessary than when the supposed protectors of law and order become the perpetrator themselves.”
