Isko Moreno posted about these tarpaulins in Manila
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno reacted to the tarpaulins being posted in his city stating that CPP-NPA-NDF as “persona non-grata”.
The mayor of the capital city of the Philippines reacted to the Twitter post of One News PH with the headline: “A tarpaulin declaring the CPP-NPA-NDF as persona non grata was seen hanging on an overpass in Manila.”
It was stated in the tarpaulin that these groups are “terorista” and they are declared “persona non grata in Metro Manila”. Also included in tarpaulin’s text were the contact numbers to report these groups.
Mayor Isko retweeted this and said that those people who are behind this should not post this in Manila. “Uubusin ko po yan,” the mayor added.
He also said that he already ordered the Department of Public Services (DPS) to address this matter. “May directive na po ako sa DPS na tanggalin ang mga tarpaulin na to. di po natin kailangan ang mga ito sa gitna ng pandemya. dapat magkaisa po tayong mga Pilipino,” Mayor Isko Moreno said.
In an interview posted on the Twitter account of DZBB Super Radyo, the Manila Mayor stressed that these kinds of tarpaulins should not be posted in his city whether is it from those who are pro or anti government.
“I don’t like shenanigans in our city. There’s so much toxicity already in the hearts and minds of our people,” he said. He added that the public is getting confused and he stressed that there are a lot of animosities already among politicians and political leaders.
“Pwede bang time-out muna? Chill chill muna kayo,” he said. Mayor Isko also said that the focus of the people should be on the current problem.
