PAGASA – Trough Of LPA, Habagat To Bring Cloudy Skies, Scattered Rains Over Parts Of PH This October 2, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, October 2, 2020 (Friday).

The weather forecast from the state weather bureau says that a Low Pressure Area or LPA was last spotted at about 905 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes while habagat or the southwest monsoon will be affecting the western sections of southern Luzon and Visayas on this day.

According to GMA News, the Trough of the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Northern Samar.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas especially during severe thunderstorms.

On the other hand, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to habagat and localized thunderstorms. Again, the bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, extreme northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds that are moving northeastward while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southwest to northwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southwest to west direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
