PNP Academy On Lockdown After Cadets Contract Coronavirus

PNP ACADEMY ON LOCKDOWN – The Philippine National Police Academy in Silang town, Cavite underwent a lockdown after over 200 cadets were found positive for COVID-19.

According to an article from ABS-CBN, PNPA director Major Gen. Gilberto Cruz said 232 cadets were positive for the deadly new virus. Meanwhile, 11 personnel also contracted COVID-19. Meanwhile, the positive individuals were reportedly placed under quarantine.

As per the article, Cruz stated:

Our health frontliners are now strictly monitoring these cadets and personnel on these recovery areas. As of writing, there is no recorded increase of COVID-19 case

The Police Academy conducted 1,406 confirmatory tests and had been strictly monitoring the cadets.Following the incident, the PNPA distributed face masks, shields, and sanitizers for each cadet.
