Two Inmates Broke Out Of Negros Occidental District Jail

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL DISTRICT JAIL – Two inmates of Negros Occidental District Jail are currently being searched by cops after they broke out of the said area.

The escape in the said district jail in Bago City occurred on early Monday morning, according to a report from Panay News.

NODJ warden Jail Chief Inspector Norberto Miciano Jr. identified the escapees as Jimmy Sablon, a resident of Barangay Robles, La Castellana town; and Ramonito Ventura of Barangay Buenavista, Murcia town.

Miciano reported that Sablon has been charged with frustrated murder. For Ventura, he was facing charges of robbery and illegal possession of firearms.

Investigators from NODJ said that the escapees destroyed one of the grills of their jail dormitory and escaped at about 4 AM.

Guards discovered the incident at about 6 AM while they were conducting a routine headcount .

The NODJ chief said that they immediately visited the families and relatives of the said escapees in their hometowns.

He also added that anyone who are able to provide information to the whereabouts of the two escapees will be rewarded with P10,000, based on the report.

Miciano added that they warned the families and relatives of the two inmates that they will also face criminal charges should they help the inmates.
