Leni Robredo Show Support to Local Clothing Brands Despite Criticisms on Her Looks
Vice President Leni Robredo salute to Filipino local clothing brand who partnered with her office in making personal protective equipment (PPE).
The Vice President previously went viral on social media as many netizens have insulted her looks on her recent public address. Netizens claim that Leni allegedly trying to look ‘presidentiable’.
One of them is the veteran actress and staunch Duterte supporter Vivian Velez. She earlier made fun of Robredo’s looks, and called her recent address as “the worst kind of political branding.”
However, instead of firing back to the criticism, VP Leni took the opportunity to pay tribute to the Filipino local clothing brand who partnered with her office in making PPEs. She shows support to the designer of the purple blouse she wore that day.
“Lalo akong humanga sa kanila nung naka partner namin sila sa pagtahi ng PPEs dahil dun po namin sila nakilala ng lubos. Napakabait na employers at mapagkalinga sa kanilang mga mananahi,” she said on her Facebook post.

VP also explained why she was wearing eyeglasses and having her hair tied up that day. She said she wore glasses and had her hair tied up, since the start of the pandemic.
“Yung salamin, dati naman po akong nagsasalamin. Matagal na. Hindi ko lang tinatanggal ngayon kasi bahagi siya ng proteksiyon laban sa virus,” she added.
