Long Mejia, Dagul, and Gene Padilla Violate Quarantine Guidelines, Ilocos Sur Governor Wants to Declared them as “Persona Non-Grata”
Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Singson is planning to declare the comedians Long Mejia, Dagul, and Gene Padilla as “Persona Non-Grata”.
Ryan Singson recommends to Sanggunian Panlalawigan of Ilocos Sur to declare the comedians Long Mejia, Dagul, and Gene Padilla for allegedly violating the quarantine protocols in the province.
Singson condemns the three comedians for their irresponsible act amid the coronavirus pandemic. The celebrities reportedly refused to undergo quarantine checkpoints, which is a part of safety measures against COVID-19.
The comedians evaded the checkpoint personnel, which is an act of arrogance and impoliteness against the authorities. The governor also said that he will not tolerate the irresponsible acts of the three.
The three comedians refused to give a statement regarding the incident and what they are doing in the province of Ilocos Sur. The incident happened last Saturday evening (July 18, 2020). The gesture of the comedians undermines the power of the police authorities.
