Bela Padilla on being tagged as “Die-hard Duterte Supporter”

Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla answered speculations of netizens that she is a DDS or a “die-hard Duterte supporter”.

This tag is being associated now with Bela as her name surfaced as one of the companions of fellow Kapamilya star Piolo Pascual and director Joyce Bernal in their Sagada trip.

In a previous report, it was seen that in the authorization letter from Malacanang that was given to the production team of Direk Joyce to shoot in Sagada, the name of Bela was written on it.

Because of this, Piolo received criticisms for clarifying his political stand even though his name was also there. A netizen even recalled the past interview wherein the A-list actor said that he is a supporter of the President.

Meanwhile, netizens have been wondering why Bela Padilla was there and some has already bashed her for speculating that she is a supporter of the administration. In line with this, the actress answered the question of a netizen if she is a DDS.

Bela said, “nope”. When asked why she was with Direk Joyce and her production team for the shoot in Sagada that was intended for the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2020 of President Duterte, here is her answer.

“I was told we were going to shoot for Liter Of Light (which we did)…but as soon as I found out that us being there could have any connection with the SONA, I went home alone, immediately, because I have no participation in it anyway.”
