Piolo Pascual lied about his Sagada trip?
A netizen stated that Kapamilya A-list actor Piolo Pascual lied in his recently released statement on his controversial trip with director Joyce Bernal.
Piolo, Direk Joyce, and her production team went controversial due to their canceled shooting in Sagada despite they possessed an authorization letter from the Malacanang.
The actor explained that his connection with the director of the State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte has nothing to do with his political stand. He also reiterated his love for his home network ABS-CBN.
Piolo also stressed this: “I haven’t met the President personally and I don’t do politics as some may know.” In his Instagram post, actress Alessandra de Rossi commented: “I got your back fuffy! (red heart emoji) I know you from white hair to toe to every breath you take every move you make.”
This received a reply from Instagram user @magnifique07. The netizen accused the actor of lying by showing this proof. First, the IG user shared a Twitter link showing the authorization letter from Malacanang in which the name of Piolo Pascual was listed as part of the production staff to shoot for the SONA of President Duterte.

In another reply, the netizen shared a link of the article from PEP which was published in 2016. It is about the statement of Piolo saying that he is not allowed to endorse Duterte openly.
In the article, it was stated that during the Silkamazing @15 event on July 23, 2016, the actor said, “I’ve always been pro-Digong ever since.”
“Every time I would go to Davao, pinipilit kong maka-meet siya. And hindi lang ako pinayagang mag-endorse [openly], pero I’ve always been for Digong,” he added.
With this, IG user @magnifique07 asked why Piolo said that he was just trying to tend to his properties in the area but his name was included in the team that Malacanang sent.
