Jessy Mendiola has a new show
Actress Jessy Mendiola has already started shooting for her new show on TV5 behind everyone’s knowledge that she is a talent of ABS-CBN.
Although Jessy did not have her regular show in the Kapamilya network, she still had some TV appearances. Based on the article from MSN, the actress did not renew her contract with Star Magic, the talent arm of ABS-CBN, when it expired in October of 2018.
However, she still became part of the Kapamilya series Sandugo in 2019. At that time, there were already rumors about her alleged network transfer because of the lack of projects in her home network.
“Siyempre, naiinip po ako. Sino ba naman pong hindi? Pero kung naiinip ka man, e, di gumawa ka ng something productive o puwede mong kabisihan, like, ‘yan ang business o kung ano pang medium na puwede mong ipakita ang sarili mo,” Jessy Mendiola said in a past interview regarding this issue.
Despite the rumors, she remained under the Kapamilya network until this year. On the other hand, a recent report stated that she will have a new show on TV5.

It is known to many that talents of ABS-CBN are greatly affected by the franchise renewal issue and it was alleged that Kapamilya stars are now allowed to accept projects from other networks.
Along with the talks about the rebranding of TV5, it was said that Jessy Mendiola is one of the celebrities who will have her new show. Based on the article by columnist Jun Lalin in Abante, the actress already started shooting for her show which is about lifestyle.
According to Lalin, members of the production staff already have nice feedback about the girlfriend of actor-host Luis Manzano.
Jessy Mendiola has signed a contract with TV5 for this show for 1 season and it will start airing on July 25.
