Definition
The Oxford dictionary defines a brainteaser as a problem or puzzle, typically one designed to be solved for amusement. It is the informal term of puzzles, problems, or riddles.
It is a type of puzzle where it is hard to find the answer but amuses people as they try to solve it. The problems seems simple enough but tricks you into answering the wrong question.
Here are some examples of these puzzles. To know the answer, simply highlight the answer block like this:
1. You are in a cabin and it is pitch black. You have one match on you. Which do you light first, the newspaper, the lamp, the candle, or the fire?
You light the match first!
2. Jimmy’s mother had four children. She named the first Monday. She named the second Tuesday, and she named the third Wednesday. What is the name of the fourth child?
Jimmy, because Jimmy’s mother had four children!
3. Which is heavier? A kilogram of steel or a kilogram of feathers?
