4Ps Beneficiary Who Pawned his Card & Blame Gov’t Earned Criticisms
A Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiary earned criticism online after he pawned his card and blamed the Philippine government.
Previously, President Rodrigo Duterte placed the entire Luzon under enhanced community quarantine same as other cities and provinces in Luzon and Mindanao to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The Philippine government are already giving the social amelioration cash assistance to those families who are greatly affected by the public health crisis. The beneficiaries will receive the emergency support for two months where the subsidy ranges between Php 5,000.00 to Php 8,000.00 to around 18 million low income households.
Recently, a concerned netizen named Wila Selirio Ariquetlaf shared a photo of one of the 4Ps beneficiary who complains that he will be able to receive the cash assistance from the government.
According to the Facebook post, the said beneficiary is complaining because his card was pawned and unable to receive the cash aid. He also blames the Philippine government for irresponsibility and the small amount of cash given.
“Paano nalang kaming may 4ps dahil na naka-sangla ang aming card? Kawawa kami, mabuti pa kayo masarap ang kinakain niyo samantalang kami mamatay sa gutom, walang kwenta ang gobyerno natin. Makakain kayo ng masarap kami mamatay sa gutom. Kulang pa nga ang binibigay ng gobyerno, dapat dagdagan yung 4ps naming dahil na sangla at marami kaming anak. Mabuti kapa isa lang anak mo masarap buhay mo samantalang kami mamatay sa gutom, walang kwentang gobyerno,” translated from bisaya.
Meanwhile, the post has gone viral on social media as many netizens scolded and criticized him for demanding despite his inappropriate actions. The card shouldn’t be pawned or sold because it is against to the terms and services agreement.
