Actress and celebrity philanthropist Angel Locsin slams overprice seller in her twitter account who offered her a mask worth P1,500.
Angel Locsin is one of the most kind-hearted celebrities who are willing to spend a huge amount to help the people in need, in times of calamity and other situation who badly needs her help. She has the compassion and the heart to serve the people in need, not just merely entertaining them.
Angel definitely embodies her name, an “angel” and a blessing to other people. As the coronavirus crisis prompted Angel to openly express her desire to donate masks.
Meanwhile, in her Twitter account, Angel slams an inconsiderate seller who offered her mask at very expensive price, too far from the original price. Amid ongoing enhance community quarantine, the 34-year-old celebrity wanted to help and provide additional protective masks to healthcare frontliners.
In Twitter, the actress responded to the post of foreign secretary Teddy Boy Locsin who was also responding to another netizen regarding proper mask usage by government officials. The actress expressed the difficulty in getting masks, highlighting that these are usually taken by big companies or politicians.
In her another tweet, the actress slammed the seller who offered her an overprice mask. She wrote revealing that she received an offer for a mask priced at a whopping P1,500.
Many of Angel’s followers expressed their resentment over the unscrupulous sellers. Others tried to provide information as to where they could source masks as well as alcohol.
Previously, two overprice sellers were arrested in a buy-bust operation held in Biñan, Laguna. Authorities arrested the two for selling thermal scanners and alcohol twice as the suggested retail price.
Malacañang warned sellers or businesses that would hoard masks and alcohol, including those that would be taking advantage of the situation and would sell the items at a much higher price, will face charges and arrest.
