PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this March 4, 2020.

The latest weather update from the bureau states that the northeast monsoon or amihan, as well as the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, will affect the country.
According to Inquirer, amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over extreme northern Luzon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the easterlies. The bureau clarified that the affected areas would expect no significant impact.
The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the entire Visayas and Mindanao. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides especially during severe thunderstorms.
As per the report, the bureau is currently observing a low pressure area (LPA) which was last spotted at about 1,680 kilometers southeast of Mindanao.
The weather system is not affecting the country as of the moment but it is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this evening or Thursday morning.
The LPA is less likely to develop into a tropical storm but it will trigger rains in Mindanao on Thursday or Friday.
