MMDA To Enact Stop-And-Go Scheme As Sea Games Closes
MMDA – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will implement the stop-and-go scheme as the 30th SEA Games reach its close.
According to GMA News, the bureau spokesperson said that the approach will be the same as they did in the opening of SEA Games.
“Kagaya po ng naging approach noong opening ng SEA Games, ganoon din ho ang magiging sistema for the closing. Stop-and-go po tayo para sa mga sasakyan na pribadong motorista o pampubliko man, kapag dadaan yung mga convoy packages,”
Pialago added that the athletes and delegates will check out from their hotels, which are outside the capital, as early as 10:30 AM.
As for athletes and delegates in hotels within the capital, they are expected to hit the road at 2 PM.
As per the report, about 2,000 personnel will be deployed in key areas until Friday (December 13).
The 30th Southeast Asian Games will reach its close on December 11 (Wednesday). More than about 8,000 athletes and 2,000 technical officials were in the Philippines for this biennial event.
