MMDA Suspends Metro Manila Number Coding
METRO MANILA NUMBER CODING – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) suspended the coding in Metro Manila.
Today, several local government units and schools have announced the suspension of classes in schools. It is because of Typhoon Tisoy which is expected to bring heavy rains in the different areas in the country.
Most areas suspended the classes in pre-school, elementary, and high school. Some declared the class suspension covering all levels.
Aside from the classes in schools, the government work in Metro Manila is also suspended starting noontime. The declaration was made by Malacañang Palace.
Recently, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) also announced the suspension of the Metro Manila number coding. The said coding is implemented to ease the traffic.
Speaking to DZMM, MMDA EDSA Traffic Chief Bong Nebrija expressed that the lifting of the number coding is to avoid the public from getting stranded on the road as the typhoon is coming. They are also inspecting the roads before Tisoy would hit the area.
As of this writing, there are still no further information regarding Typhoon Tisoy, We’ll keep you posted for updates.
