PAGASA – Typhoon Kammuri Enhances, Nears Philippines
PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that typhoon Kammuri recently enhanced on Saturday before it enters the Philippines.
The bureau added that it is currently packed with maximum sustained winds of about 150 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 185 kilometers per hour.
According to ABS-CBN News, it is currently moving at a speed 20 kilometers per hour, it is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this weekend.
Kammuri will locally be named Tisoy and become the 20th tropical cyclone to enter the country this year 2019.
The typhoon will affect the regions Bicol and Central Luzon. The regions happen to be the venues hosting the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) which will start this November 30 (Saturday) up to December 11 (Monday).
As per the report, the northeast monsoon or amihan, meanwhile, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the following areas:
- Cordillera Administrative Region
- Cagayan Valley
- Aurora
- Quezon
As for the capital, as well as the rest of Luzon, they will face cloudy skies and isolated rains due to amihan.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, will face cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.
