Yasuhiro Nakasone, Former Japan Prime Minister, Dies at 101
FORMER JAPAN PRIME MINISTER – Yasuhiro Nakasone, an ex-prime minister of Japan, died at the age of 101.
One of the Japanese government officials who have greatly marked the political arena in Japan is ex-Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone. Many won’t surely forget how he strive to secure ties with the United States. He served from November 1982 to November 1987.
Nakasone has built a wonderful friendship with former United States President Ronald Reagan who was US’ Chief Executive then. He put a lot of efforts in making Japan as a member of the West.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, during his inaugural speech in 1982, Nakasone expressed the basic foreign policy of his country. According to him, it is to be “a member of the free world led by Europe and the United States”.
Recently, news reports about ex-Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone crossed the surface. The ex-PM died at the age of 101 as confirmed by the media in their country.
