The bureau said on Monday that this is due to the low pressure area that is currently affecting the central and southern parts of Luzon.

According to Inquirer, in the bureau’s weather bulletin, the following areas will face cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms:

  • Metro Manila
  • Zambales
  • Bataan
  • Cavite
  • Batangas
  • Mindoro

The following areas will face cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ):

  • Caraga
  • Davao Region

Meanwhile, Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley will face cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon or amihan.

Based on the report, the rest of Philippines will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms. The bureau further warned of chances of flash floods and landslides that might occur in rain-affected areas.

As for the wind speed forecast, Luzon will face moderate to strong winds moving northeast to east; and moderate to rough coastal waters.

As for Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao, they will face light to moderate winds facing southwest to southeast and slight to moderate coastal waters.
