Regine Velasquez received a “sampal” from Dimples Romana
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez gladly accepted a “sampal” from Kadenang Ginto actress Dimples Romana in front of many people.
The said incident happened during the 12th Gabay Guro Grand Gathering at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on September 22. Dimples was one of the hosts of the said event. When it was the turn of Regine to perform, she called Dimples on the stage which surprised the latter.
Then, the Songbird asked the actress to slap her, just like what she did to Cassi, the character f Francine Diaz in the hit afternoon series. Dimples’ character Daniela Mondragon earned popularity to the extent that people have been copying her dialogues and creating memes about her.
When Regine asked Dimples that they would reenact the famous slapping scene, the latter was hesitant. However, the Songbird insisted which garnered cheering from the audience. Then, Dimples gave Regine the sample of her “sampal”.
Meanwhile, based on the report from PEP, Eat Bulaga Dabarkad Ruby Rodriguez, who was also one of the hosts, was emotional when she thanked the teachers, especially those who are in SPED or special education. They are the ones who are teaching children with special needs.
Ruby shared that she studied as a SPED teacher in order to attend the needs of her special child. Through this event, the effort and sacrifices of the teachers are recognized and applauded.
