Palace extends deep condolences to the family of Eddie Garcia
The Malacanang Palace extended deep condolences to the family of the late legendary actor Eddie Garcia who died on June 20.
Following the accident on the set of Rosang Agimat, Eddie was comatose for several days. The world of showbiz in the Philippines is mourning for losing someone who showed great importance towards his craft.
On Thursday, amid the hope and prayers for a miracle, the award-winning actor took his last breath. His family agreed to the DNR or do not resuscitate order but they refused to take his life support.
The accident brought a shock to many especially to the celebrities who are close to the veteran actor. Some expressed grief and dismay that Eddie died due to an incident that could have been avoided in the first place.
Netizens and fans are also blaming the Kapuso network for the alleged “negligence” that happened on the set of the series.
The video and still photos taken during the incident showed that there was no medical personnel on standby during the taping. With this, people from the crowd carried the unconscious actor with their hands.
As Eddie Garcia finally bid goodbye, sympathy and condolences are raining for his family and friends.
The Malacanang Palace also extended deep condolences, based on the report from Pilipino Star Ngayon.
Here is the statement from the Palace through Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo:
