Huawei Promises Filipino Consumers ‘Full Refund’ If Facebook, Gmail Won’t Work on Device
HUAWEI – China-based mobile company Huawei promised Filipino consumers to give a ‘full refund’ if Facebook and Gmail won work.
Following a previous article, the social media platform Facebook and Instagram will no longer appear on newly purchased Huawei phones.
Several tech shops and phone retailers in Asia refused to accept Huawei phones after President Donald Trump banned the China-based mobile in the United States.
Although Facebook is no longer pre-installed in the android phone, the widely used social media app can still be downloaded.
The future models of Huawei mobile phones will no longer have access to any Google Play services.
Based on a report from Yahoo, the China-based mobile phone promised the consumers in the Philippines that they will provide a full refund if popular apps won’t work in their smartphones and tablets.
Huawei’s full refund program allows Pinoy consumers to get back the money they paid for the smartphone.
According to the report, if Facebook, Youtube, and Google’s Gmail fail to function on the smartphone within 2 years of purchase, they will receive a full refund.
The dealers and 30 partner retailers in the Philippines were also part of the refund program.
Huawei founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ren Zhengfei admitted that their company dropped its sales by 40%. The China-based mobile phone was the world’s number 2 vendor in terms of shipments.
Based on the report, Huawei’s chief executive Richard Yu Chengdong said they will postpone the launching of their latest laptop on June 7.
The controversial Chinese company is currently preparing its own operating system and is likely to hit the market soon.
