PH Gov’t To Roll Out National ID System in September 2019
NATIONAL ID SYSTEM – The Philippine government is set to roll out the Philippine National Identification Card System in September 2019.
Previously, it was reported that the Duterte Administration is pushing for a national ID for the Filipino populace.
The said ID can be used in availing the services of the different agencies under the government and as well as in other transactions with other entities.
Under the proposed system, the Filipino card-holder will have a permanent ID number. Undeniably, a lot of people are looking forward to the rolling out of the system in the hope of getting a valid ID.
Recently, an update over the matter crossed the surface.
Based on a recent social media post on the Twitter page of The Philippine Star, the National ID System is set to roll out this September 2019.
The registration for about 107 million Filipinos will start before the year 2019 ends. According to the post, the registered Pinoys will have the physical national ID or also called as PhilID.
Under the system, the ID number or Common Reference Number of a registered Filipino will be randomly generated but it is assured that it will be unique.
As of this writing, there are still no further details over the matter.
