FREE MANGOES – Due to oversupply, the residents in Ilocos Sur decided to give delicious ripe mangoes away for free to whoever wants them.

In Ilocos Sur, the supply and production of ripe mangoes are overweighing the consumers demands. There is so much of it, that people started to just give it away for free.
Photos of the ripe mangoes being pack in plastic bags and hung outside for takers were shared online and immediately went viral.
The charitable act of Ilocos Sur residents even reached online new sources and media outlets.

According to the post, the owners decided to put the mangoes outside for their neighbors or passersby to take. The though of giving them away instead of letting them just rot and go to waste.
In their local market, the prices of the mangoes, also plummeted to 10 pesos per kilo.
The post was made two hours ago and it already got over 59,000 likes and reactions and has been shared over 17,000 times!
