DFA Raises Alert Level 4 to Libya Prompting OFWs to Evacuate
DFA – The Department of Foreign Affairs is asking the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Libya to evacuate after Alert Level 4 has been raised.
A lot of heartbreaking incidents are happening in several parts of the world now including Libya. Currently, a lot of people there are evacuating for their safety after an attack putting lives at risk sparked.
According to Vox, the conflict involves the Libyan National Army (LNA) which is a force controlling most of the country’s Eastern part and the Government of National Accord (GNA) that defends the capital of the place.
According to the report, General Khalifa Haftar leads the LNA and is in the pursuit of uniting Libya under his control. Undeniably, attacks are on going now and it may lead to the loss of more lives.
Recently, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) decided to raise Alert Level 4 in Libya prompting OFWs in the country to evacuate.
Based on a recent social media post on CNN, DFA Chief Teddy Locsin expressed that “mandatory evacuation” for OFWs in Libya are on going now under the Alert Level 4 status.
As of this writing, there are still no other information regarding the raising of the Alert Level status.
