Here’s reason why Nadine Lustre is perfect as the next “Darna”.
NADINE LUSTRE – The Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre is perfect and fit as the next “Darna” according to filmmaker Erik Matti.
The supposed to be next “Darna”, Liza Soberano, suffered an injury which prompted her not to continue to portray the iconic role. Thus, the clamor and guesses of who could be the next actress to play such strong role has started.
A lot of actresses have been mentioned such as Kathryn Bernardo, Angel Locsin, Jessy Mendiola, Jennylyn Mercado, Sanya Lopez, and among others. But there is this one actress that won the hearts of a lot of people who is accordingly perfect for the role and that is Nadine Lustre.
Based on the statements of a lot people, she possesses the true beauty of a Filipina. She can be nice, hot, angelic, and even feisty if she wanted to. Also, her strong personality is what made people thought of her right away after Soberano backed out.
Even the filmmaker and the original director of the film “Darna” Erik Matti agrees with it. However, he also left the project due to creative differences. In a report from ABS-CBN, Matti expressed, “Ang feeling ko lang, si Nadine ‘yung babagay talaga sa tipo niya, sa tipo na role ni Darna… Hindi talaga pupuwede ‘yung model-model, para sa akin, ha? Hindi puwede ang beauty queen.”
He added based on the report, “Para sa akin, si Narda sa pagkakakilala natin ay ordinary siya. Ordinaryong bata na nagkaroon ng superpower. So, kailangan mo, yung casting na pag ordinaryo siya, ordinary talaga ang hitsura niya.”
Matti believed that Nadine has what it takes to be the next “Darna” as she could be the best of both world – having the “ordinary” aura if she has to and just the right strong sense of strength and bravery for becoming a superhero.
