Authorities Intercepts P1.8 Billion Worth of Illegal Substance Shipment in Manila
AUTHORITIES – P1.8 billon worth of illegal substance shipped in the Philippines intercepted by the authorities.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte aims to abolish all the ‘illegal drug users’ and dealers in the whole country.
He has been into a lot of controversies because of his anti-drugs operations that involve persecuting the users and criminals who resist the arrest.
Using and transporting of illegal drugs in the country will not be tolerated anymore.
Meanwhile, the authorities caught an estimated P1.8 billion worth of illegal substance packed in tea products.
Based on a report from Philstar, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Bureau of Customs-Manila International Container Port (MICP) presented the seized illegal substance to the media on Friday, March 23, 2019.

“When the container was inspected, Customs and PDEA found 11 sacks containing items wrapped in clear cellophane and sealed in foil packaging designed to look like tea products,” said the Bureau of Customs .
The authorities’ initiated a test sample of the substance and confirmed that it is ‘methamphetamine.’
According to the report, PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said the BOC “received information from our international counterparts from Vietnam that the container aboard a ship name Callao Bridge V145E from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam arrived in Manila.”
“The said ship contained huge amounts of illegal drugs,” Aquino added.
According to the report, the Bureau of Customs said the intercepted shipment will be inventoried while the illegal substance was turned over to the authorities for the investigation.
