‘Ghost Ship’ Mystery in Siquijor finally Resolved by KMJS Team
The Kapuso Mo Jessica Sojo team successfully resolved the alleged ‘Ghost Ship’ mystery witnessed by the residents of Maria, Siquijor.
Over the past few weeks, the urban legend of the mystery of ghost ship at the town of Maria, Siquijor called “Tayog-Tayog” spread like a wildfire online after it was featured in KMJS.
The mysterious ships usually exist every past 12 midnight until 2 am and would suddenly disappear after a few minutes.
The residents who witnessed the “Tayog-Tayog” revealed that the scary ship have strange passengers.
Coast Guard Siquijor Province Station Commander LTJG Donna Liza Duran also confirmed that no ships are schedules to pass the area.
The Coast Guard attempted to go closer to the ship but the strong waves prevented them so they request a bigger boat so they could go near the “Tayog-Tayog”.
Finally, KMJS team gets a chance to get close to the ship and discovered that it was M/V Filipinas Iligan of Cokaliong Shipping Lines traveling the Ozamis – Cebu and vice versa route.
Meanwhile, the other ship caught on the video was Trans Asia 1.
The shipping lines explained that the sudden disappearance of the ships was due to the foliage in the distance covering their lights.
