Here’s the statement from Malacañang regarding Ateneo kid bully and his family
Malacañang releases a statement about Ateneo kid bully, identified as Joaquin Montes, and his family.
Montes received a big round of criticisms from netizens when his video bullying his fellow student in Ateneo went viral.
Amid the controversy, there were people who challenged the kid bully and his father for a one on one fight.
As netizens sympathize to the victim or rather to the victims of Montes, they scrutinized the inhumane act.
In the midst of the criticisms to Joaquin Montes and his family,
Malacañang released a statement pointing the essence of forgiveness.
Based on the report from DZMM Teleradyo, though Ateneo has already dismissed the kid bully, he is still receiving the rage from netizens.
Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar stated that this holiday season people should forgive Montes already.
According to him, love, generosity and especially forgiveness should reign this season.
He added that the family of the kid bully is already affected of what happened because the video went viral not only in the Philippines but also in other parts of the world.
Andanar also said that he hoped Montes has already learned his lessons due to what happened.
Malacañang has previously stated that bullying should not be tolerated. In addition, the Palace said that schools should have effective mechanisms to monitor the activities of the students.
Based on the report, the administration also encourages parents to set a good example to their children.
